Mini Alsace Woman Jumping Jack

Jumping jack woman with painted red dirndl. Features primarily red, white and black colors. Measures 4.5 in length. Pull strings shown on photo make the “jack” “jump” (limbs move). Hand crafted and imported from Germany.

Because Alsace has historically shifted between French and German rule over the centuries, its folklore, dress, and toy-making traditions heavily overlap with southwestern Germany and the Black Forest/Alpine folk art styles.
